Hot rolled steel plate production is a rolling process that rolls steel at high temperatures (usually above 1700 ° F) and above the recrystallization temperature of the steel. When the heating temperature of steel is higher than the recrystallization temperature, the steel coil is easily formed and formed, and the steel can be made into larger sizes. Hot rolled steel plates are usually cheaper than cold-rolled steel plates because they usually have no delay in the manufacturing process and do not require reheating of the steel (such as cold-rolled). As the steel plate cools, it shrinks less compared to cold rolling, so there is less control over the size and shape of the finished product. Hot rolled steel plate is a flat hot-rolled steel plate with a thickness greater than 1/4 inch (0.250 millimeters). It has many applications in manufacturing, industry, and construction, where it is used structurally (rather than aesthetically). It is measured in inches of thickness.

Dimensions, external weight, and allowable deviations

The allowable thickness deviation of steel plates and strips should comply with the provisions in Table 2.

1.3 The roughness of the steel plate shall not be greater than 12mm. The unevenness measurement unit length is 1000mm.

1.4 The sickle bend of steel plate and steel belt shall not be greater than 4mm every 2 meters.

1.5 The width tolerance of the steel plate and steel strip shall comply with the provisions of the following table.

3.3 Surface Quality

3.3.1 The surface of the steel plate or steel strip is not allowed to have inclusions, cracks, rust and other defects harmful to use, and is not allowed to have parking spots. Defects that do not affect the molding performance are allowed, such as slight painless scratches, light yellow film after pickling, slight pitting, scratches, roll marks and indentations, color difference and slight painless creases.

3.3.2 As there is no opportunity for the defects to be removed from the steel strip, delivery with defects is permitted, provided that the defective part does not exceed 6% of the total length of the steel coil.

3.3.3 Oil coating means that the surface of the steel plate is coated with electrostatic anti-rust oil with certain anti-rust properties, and the oil coating can be light oil, medium oil and heavy oil, as specified by the demander in the contract. Oiled products in normal transportation, storage and other circumstances, the supplier should ensure that no corrosion within 3 months.
